Event Description

Taking place in 1950s Chicago, the five members of the Younger family are each looking for ways to improve their lot through education, business, real estate, and sheer self-determination. 

The arrival of a long-awaited life insurance check promises life changing opportunities. 

Lorraine Hansberry's masterpiece, A Raisin in the Sun fearlessly interrogates the American dream in the face of racial and economic challenge.
