Event Description
Alice Paul was an American suffragist and women's rights activist who dedicated her life to fighting for gender equality.
Her tireless efforts helped secure the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, which granted women the right to vote.
The Alice Paul Institute was founded to continue her work by promoting gender equality, empowering women, and encouraging civic engagement.
The new exhibition, "Alice Paul: In Pursuit of Ordinary Equality," showcases her life and legacy, displaying some of her belongings, photographs, and documents.
Afterwards, head to Carlucci's Waterfront to enjoy a delicious Italian lunch.
Guests will have entrée choices of Veal Marsala, Stuffed Shells or Chicken Piccata along with a salad, tiramisu for dessert and non-alcoholic beverages.
