Join Dr. Lacey Hunter for an evening lecture exploring the intersection of art and labor in African American history.

Learn about the struggles and triumphs of Black workers like the Pullman porters organized by A. Philip Randolph, and discover the powerful artwork of Jacob Lawrence and Stephen Towns.

The talk will focus on how their artwork visually captures the dignity and resilience of Black labor.

This event is suitable for teens and adults interested in art, labor history, and the African American experience.
