Event Description
Join editors as they discuss the launch of a book that redefines feminist performance.
Challenge fixed ideas of where and how feminist performance began, and discover key moments that have shaped this dynamic field.
Designed for performance studies courses, the book explores essential works across performance art, live art, body art, activism, and theater.
Experience an engaging conversation about artistic rupture, political reanimation, and breaking with dominant understandings of gender, art, and value.
An iftar will be served at sunset, and copies of the book will be available for purchase.
NJ Proudly Celebrates Women's History Month
Women's History Month is an annual observance in March that honors the achievements, leadership, and lasting impact of women throughout history. New Jersey recognizes the vital role women have played in shaping all aspects of society, including politics, science, the arts, education, and social justice. It is a time to reflect on past struggles, celebrate progress, and inspire future generations.
