This year's event will include a keynote address from The Honorable Mayor Ras J. Baraka, musical performances, spotlight artists and so much more! 

Prepare for a special event that will also feature the presentation of scholarships to this year's Black History Month essay contest winners who will share excerpts from their winning essays on the issue of racial segregation in schools.

Black History Month is an annual observance in February that celebrates the achievements and contributions of African Americans to American history, culture, and society. Established in 1926 by historian Carter G. Woodson; Black History Month reflects on the struggles, highlights the triumphs, and provides inspiration to future generations.
