Event Description
Celebrate Douglass Day by participating in a transcribe-a-thon to honor the birthday of Frederick Douglass.
Help transcribe a remarkable collection of digitized papers left by Douglass, available through collaborations with the Library of Congress and the ByThePeople platform.
This global event connects thousands of participants from over one hundred locations, working together to transcribe Douglass's correspondence and make it more accessible and searchable.
Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP, with limited seats available.
This live event will be streamed on YouTube, and you can transcribe through the citizen science platform, Crowd.loc.gov.
