Event Description

Explore the Meadowlands with your favorite adventure buddy and experience the first day of summer in the company of curious birds and fellow birders.

Keep your eyes out for wading birds, songbirds, waterfowl, and any surprise guests along the way.

Expect to hear background sounds of the NJ Turnpike, transit trains, and nearby construction—part of the charm of this unique urban birding experience.

You'll cover about 2 miles on boardwalk and pathway, so dress for the weather and wear closed-toe shoes.

Bring water, snacks, layers, a hat, and binoculars if you have them.

There will be five pairs of 8×25 binoculars available to borrow, plus a spotting scope to enhance your view.

Outings take place rain or shine, but extreme weather will prompt a reschedule for everyone's comfort.

Whether you're an experienced birder or simply bird-curious, you'll enjoy a low-key outing designed to help you discover, learn, and have fun.
