Event Description

Learn about the life and legacy of Bessie Coleman in this history program presented by Dr. Daisy Century.

Bessie Coleman was an extraordinary woman who risked everything for her dreams.

Through hard work and determination, she became the first African-American woman to become a licensed pilot and the first American to hold an international pilot license.

This event is intended for all ages.
