Event Description
Join us for an hour-long guided hike under the bright light of a full moon. Enjoy the fresh night air as we explore what creatures are out and about at night. We’ll practice our owl “woo-woo” calls (and see which wise owls call back) and use flashlights gently to illuminate the tiny critters that live under various leaves.
Full Moon Facts
A Full Moon, also known as the "harvest moon," is one of the most captivating and beautiful sights in nature. When the earth is directly between the sun and the moon, the earth's light fully illuminates the side of the moon facing it. This occurrence happens an average of every 29.5 days.
