Event Description

Embark on a tantalizing journey through the fragrant lanes of Thai cuisine with Maricel. Presenting the ‘Intro to Thai Cooking Class', where you will don the chef's hat and immerse yourself in the art of Thai cooking. This class welcomes gourmands of all proficiencies, be it a sprouting cook or a seasoned maestro.

Maricel's Classes are perfect for cooks of all skill levels. Whether you are just setting out or a seasoned professional, Maricel will help you learn the flavors and techniques that make food so exciting.

Under Maricel's expert guidance, you'll delve into the essence of Thai flavors and master iconic dishes:

  • Pad Thai: A quintessential Thai street food, Pad Thai is a vibrant stir-fried noodle dish. It's packed with flavors, combining rice noodles, eggs, tofu or shrimp, and garnished with crushed peanuts, fresh lime, and cilantro. The tamarind paste gives it its signature tangy taste, while the fish sauce adds a depth of flavor that is unmistakably Thai.
  • Chicken Coconut Curry: This heartwarming dish is a rich, creamy curry made with tender chicken pieces simmered in coconut milk. Infused with aromatic herbs like lemongrass, ginger, and basil, and spiced with red curry paste, this dish is a delightful balance of sweet, spicy, and savory. It is best enjoyed with a serving of jasmine rice to soak up all the delicious flavors.
  • Thai Spring Rolls: Crispy on the outside, and bursting with freshness on the inside, Thai Spring Rolls are a popular appetizer. These rolls are made with rice paper wrappers, which are filled with a colorful medley of vegetables, glass noodles, and sometimes shrimp. They are often served with a sweet chili dipping sauce that perfectly complements the freshness of the ingredients.
  • Sticky Rice with Mango: A classic Thai dessert that is simple yet indulgent. It is made with glutinous rice that is cooked and then soaked in a mixture of coconut milk and sugar. This creamy, sweet rice is then served alongside fresh, ripe mango slices. The combination of the sticky, coconut-infused rice and the juicy, sweet mango is truly divine and provides a perfect ending to a Thai meal.

This is not just a cooking class - it's an experience. Come with an empty stomach and leave with a heart full of memories and a palate satiated like royalty. This is your golden ticket to eating like the King of Siam.

Maricel, an experienced chef with a deep-seated passion for Asian cuisines, is excited to guide you in your exploration of these mouthwatering dishes. Maricel's Kitchen Classes serve as an ideal opportunity for social events, from a girls' night out to gatherings with friends, or simply to sharpen your culinary skills and deepen your appreciation of food.

Classes are hands on and interactive. Participants will receive their very own packet of recipes for the dishes they created. Maricel ends all her classes with everyone sitting down to enjoy the meal they just created. It is a perfect end to the event and gives everyone a chance to socialize and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

Classes start promptly and we ask that all participants arrive about fifteen minutes early to check in and get settled. Due to limited space and the upfront costs of food, our classes and events are only refundable 7 days before event start date. If within 7 days of event start date you are unable to attend, you are more than welcome to transfer your seat to someone else. The event organizer has the right to cancel class within 3 days of event start date if a minimum of 3 attendees is not met. Should the class be cancelled, participants will be offered to select another cooking class of equal or lesser value.
