Event Description
Experience a cultural journey at the Riverton Juneteenth Celebration, a collaborative effort among the boroughs of Palmyra, Riverton, and Cinnaminson.
Enjoy live music, dance, spoken word, and art presentations that cater to all ages.
Younger guests can delight in pony rides, a bounce house, face painting, and crafts, while everyone can participate in a selfie scavenger hunt and trivia.
Basketball and tennis courts, along with playgrounds, will be open for a day filled with joy and learning.
What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated on June 19th each year to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth is celebrated with various community events throughout New Jersey, including business expos festivities honoring African-American culture and history. NJ legislation declares the third Friday in June as a paid state holiday, while a federal proclamation deems June 19 as a federal holiday.
