Event Description

In honor of Black History Month, welcome the Harriet Tubman: The Beacon of Hope traveling monument!

The 13-foot bronze statue created by sculptor Wesley Wofford will be on display with an official community celebration.

The celebration includes the Pan African flag raising, unveiling of the Harriet Tubman: The Beacon of Hope monument, and light refreshments.

Join Mayor Raymond A. Giacobbe and the Social Justice Commission in celebrating African American culture, history, and community.
