Throughout its history, women have made notable contributions that have helped shape New York city's social, economic and cultural framework.
Speaker Marty Schneit will present a comprehensive overview of talented women who made significant contributions to New York and American History when full equality for women was not yet recognized.
This open discussion will mention influential women such as Rose Schneiderman, Emma Lazarus, Jane Jacobs, Gertrude Vanderbilt, and Abby Aldrich Rockefeller.
About The Speaker
Marty, a born and bred New Yorker, has lectured at various venues including the New York Public Library, Central Synagogue, Hebrew Home for the Aged at Riverdale and The Ziegfeld Society of New York.
The Jewish Braille Institute has recorded his lectures for their audio magazine and lecture series.
